Acoustic Eidolon, featuring Joe Scott (double-neck guitjo) and Hannah Alkire (cello), is from Colorado and has graced stages throughout the US, Europe, Australia, and Canada. With thirteen CDs and two DVDs to their credit, these masterful artists continue to captivate audiences worldwide with their signature "new acoustic" sound, blending boundless possibilities of Celtic, Americana, World, & Flamenco musical influences.
Their original sound is created by blending their diverse musical backgrounds and unusual instrumentation, including the one-of-a-kind double-neck guitjo, an instrument designed by Joe. The double-neck guitjo has 14 strings, and Joe has developed his style and technique, playing both necks simultaneously.
Classically trained cellist Hannah Alkire studied with G. Magyar of the Hungarian String Quartet and is recognized internationally for her stunning tone and emotionally impeccable playing, as well as for taking the cello places it has never been before.
What started as a musical journey between kindred spirits blossomed into their marriage in 2001. The result is a coupling of intricate and passionate music with genuine and engaging stories. Both are virtuoso players, sharing stories and connections with the audience that add a backdrop of transparency from their lives, from struggles to triumphs.
Set deep within the stunning Queen's Throne Room, these concerts offer a one-of-a-kind, memory-making experience where natural acoustics and ancient formations create an unforgettable setting for underground performances.
